MCC Mini Slient Retreat
Does the thought of a silent retreat sound appealing....or maybe a little
awkward or frightening? Don't be scared! Newcomers to this form of meditation
are encouraged to attend and try it!
What is Noble Silence? "Healing. Silence is essential for deep
transformation. It allows the practice of conscious breathing to become deep
and effective. Like still water that reflects things as they are, the calming
silence helps us to see things more clearly, and therefore, to be in deeper
contact with ourselves and those around us." -Mindfulness Practice Community
of Toronto
Want to try it? Join us this Friday, April 5 and Monday April 8th
12:00 pm-12:50 pm in Building 9 Room 152 for a mini silent retreat!
MCC Mini Silent Retreat Schedule:
12:00-12:10 pm Arriving and Settling in (please arrive in
silence and turn off cell phones)
There are mats, blankets, supportive chair backs to use.

practice
12:30 pm An interval bell will be invited to mark the midpoint of our
meditation.

We suggest that you leave in silence and very gradually start to come out of
silence as you walk into the rest of your afternoon.... mindfully and hopefully
