MCC Optics Club receives SPIE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Activity Grant

Congratulations to the members of the MCC Optics Club for receiving a $500 grant from SPIE, The International Society for Optics and Photonics, to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of STEM.  Funds received from this grant will be used for various activities including the International Women’s Day in February and outreach activities geared toward increasing the diversity of the student body within the MCC Optical Systems Technology program.

The MCC Optics Club meets weekly on Fridays from 3-4pm (https://monroecommunity.zoom .us/j/9293799567) and all are welcome to join. Optics Club members receive support and direction from Professor & Chair Alexis Vogt, PhD.
