2020 Commencement Event Canceled

Dear MCC Class of 2020,

Each day we are reminded of your remarkable accomplishments and resiliency, coupled with your passion and grit, that have carried you through graduation and beyond. We are proud of what you have achieved at MCC! On behalf of the entire College community, I want to once again congratulate you.

Like many area colleges and universities, MCC postponed its spring Commencement ceremony due to the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, an in-person celebration in December 2020 will not be possible at this time to ensure you, your family, your professors, staff, and the Greater Rochester community stay safe and healthy.

The change in plans does not detract from your hard work, dedication and success at MCC. We applaud your achievements. You've earned it! Check out some of the year's special moments captured in MCC's Graduating Together video in honor of the class of 2020 if you missed it.

We are honored to have you as part of our esteemed alumni family. We hope you will stay connected with MCC and tap into the many benefits available on and off campus to alumni, including:

  • Following the college's full reopening (date TBD), use of the libraries, pool, racquetball courts and other amenities at both campuses for a year.
  • Access to an online jobs database, career information and résumé assistance.
  • Networking opportunities for alumni.

Once you are a member of the MCC family, you are forever a member of the MCC community. Please stay in touch. We'd love to hear what's happening in your next chapter. Thank you for the privilege of allowing MCC to be part of your inspiring story.

Wishing you all the best in your next endeavors,
Kimberly McKinsey-Mabry, Ed.D. '95, acting vice president
