Walk through American History; Visit the Black History Month Display

African-American culture, also known as Black Culture, refers to the contributions of African Americans to the culture of the United States, either as part of or distinct from mainstream American culture. The culture is both distinct and enormously influential on American and global worldwide culture as a whole.  During African American Heritage Month, MCC honors the rich cultural contributions and achievements of African Americans.

Join us for the entire month of February, as we pay tribute to the contributions of this part of American History. 

We are encouraging all students, faculty and staff to tour the month-long display of Black history with exhibits and pictures that educate as well as tell the story of a people who help contribute and built America.

The display is located outside of the PRISM Multicultural Center along the Brick Lounge (Building 1).  Faculty are encouraged to bring their classes, test your knowledge and memory of several historical leaders that are showcased in the display.  Everyone is also encouraged to stop in the cultural center to see some of the art work also.
