Cabbages and Kings Again Wins First-Place Award in National Competition!
Congratulations again go out to student-led organization Cabbages and Kings
for winning the First-Place Award for Cabbages and Kings Literary and
Visual Arts Magazine, Issue 72 in the magazine category of the annual
American Scholastic Press Association's (ASPA) national competition!
Each magazine entry is evaluated and scored on a point system, and is
awarded a First-, Second- or Third-Place Award in its classification. Award
criteria include style, format, contents, and presentability, particularly in
terms of page design, story layout, graphics, headlining, cover design,
advertising placement (if any) and photography. The competition receives a
tremendous number of entries for consideration, and MCC earned a first-place
recognition last year as well!
Special thanks go to Cabbages and Kings' 2019 student officers, literary and
visual art editors, production staff, committee and donors for another job well
done representing MCC and our students' outstanding work!
