All MCC Employees Are Invited to Present Their Research at Scholars' Day 2024

Are you an MCC employee (faculty, staff, or administrator) looking for a venue to present your scholarly research or give an artistic performance?  Did you know that Scholars' Day at MCC showcases the work of professional researchers in addition to that of our student scholars?  This event celebrates academic excellence while promoting and encouraging scholarship throughout the College. If you are conducting research and scholarship of any kind, whether as part of a degree program, for professional reasons, or out of personal interest, we encourage you to consider presenting it at Scholars' Day 2024.  If you are unable to present scholarly work at Scholars' Day, you can still participate in the event by encouraging students to participate or by mentoring their research projects.

Scholars' Day 2024 will be held on Tuesday, April 30 on the Brighton Campus.  A keynote presentation by David Wallace-Wells will follow on Wednesday, May 1 at 7pm in the MCC Theatre.

All students and employees are invited to submit an application to deliver an oral or poster presentation, or a performance at Scholars' Day (see our FAQ for details); application forms are available now. The application deadline is March 5, 2024.

Questions? Contact one of the Scholars’ Day Committee co-chairs: Katie Ghidiu (kghidiu@monroecc.edu), Dan Tyree (dtyree@monroecc.edu), or Jason Anderson (janderson@monroecc.edu).
