MCC Daily Tribune

Changes to MCC Daily Tribune

Starting Wednesday, October 12, any PDF uploaded in a Tribune article will be noted as pending approval until the Web / Accessibility Team has approved the attachment for ADA compliance. Please run the accessibility checker in both Microsoft and Adobe prior to saving and uploading your document. Going forward, any attachment deemed non-ADA-compliant cannot be posted until approved.  Please allow time for the review of your attachment and approval process, and plan ahead to prevent delays in your posting. Consider submitting an announcement that can stand on its own without an attachment.

Prioritizing inclusion, diversity, equity and accountability efforts is among the five strategic priorities set for MCC. MCC is committed to a sustained culture of accessibility and inclusivity for all students and employees. Part of fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment at MCC is ensuring students and employees have equal access to information across all platforms, regardless of ability or situation. As a centralized source of news and information for our college community, the MCC Employee and Student Tribune is designed to enable full and equitable participation of all members, consistent with the College’s core values and the Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines for postsecondary institutions.

If you need further assistance in creating accessible documents or have a large/complex document, you may submit a Technology Services support request, along with the original document(s). The turnaround time for completion will depend on the size and complexity of your file. For information about making documents accessible, especially before converting them to PDFs, visit the Accessible Documents page.

If you have questions, please send them to Dawn Voglewede (dvoglewede@monroecc.edu) or Rebecca Orvetti (rorvetti@monroecc.edu).

We are MCC. And together, we are creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for all who chose to visit, attend or work here.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.
