2+2 Transfer Pathway Guides

2+2 with University of Rochester

B.S. Biomedical Engineering, B.S. Chemical Engineering, B.S. Electrical and Computer Engineering, B.S. Mechanical Engineering (EN37 - Competitive)

MCC Degree Awarded:

Engineering Science A.S. (EN01)

Please note that some courses required in a 2+2 Transfer Pathway may not be required for the MCC program. This could have financial aid implications. Students should meet with their advisor or with a transfer representative to discuss an academic plan and recommended sequence of courses.

2+2Sheet

Choose Engineering major from list below. Note the following:

  • AP, IB, CLEP, & Transfer courses: Credits showing as accepted by MCC may not be transferable. See AP Policies and IB Policies. Contact UR with questions.
  • College Now or other Dual Enrollment courses: College coursework taught in high school will NOT be granted transfer credit at UR. See UR transfer credit policies.
  • Matriculated, continuous, full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours each semester) is required for students formally accepted into this Competitive 2+2 (as indicated by the MCC major).
  • The general transfer credit policy requires a C or better for credit to be awarded. All chemistry courses must be completed with a grade of B or higher for UR. ENG 200 must be a B or better to fulfill Rochester's writing requirement.
  • Some majors require taking courses at UR while at MCC. This is called Cross Registration. There is no additional tuition cost for this. Students must take at least 12 credits at MCC to qualify for this.
  • Students may want to take courses in the summer or an additional semester at MCC due to the rigor of coursework needed.
  • Read additional UR specific notes at the bottom of this page.
