Instructor Evaluator Workshop

Program Announcement

The Monroe County Public Safety Training Facility (PSTF), under the auspices of the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), will be holding an Instructor Evaluator Workshop at 1190 Scottsville Road, Rochester, New York. This workshop is designed to provide experienced instructors with the skills necessary to conduct impartial, objective evaluations of instructor candidates as mandated by the Municipal Police Training Council. These evaluations will aid in ensuring the quality of law enforcement instruction throughout the state remains high.

Students who successfully complete this workshop will receive certification from DCJS as an Instructor Evaluator.

Session Dates

May 22, 2024, 8:30am to 12:30pm

Prerequisites

  • NYS certified police or peace officer in active duty
  • Civilian employees of a law enforcement agency with written approval of their employer
  • Completion of the MPTC approved Instructor Development Course

Required Attire and/or Equipment

  • Attire (dress code)
    • Business casual, or
    • Department designated uniform of the day

Graduation Requirements

  • 90% attendance (policy set by Monroe Community College)

Course Tuition and Fees

  • There is no tuition or fees associated with this workshop.

Reservations

Please complete the online Law Enforcement Program Course Reservation Form prior to May 1, 2024. Submitting a reservation form does not guarantee admittance to a course. Confirmation notices will be emailed approximately 2 weeks prior to the class. Please remember to check your junk/spam folder.

To avoid double tuition billing, a Certificate of Residence is required from students who reside outside of Monroe County.
