Tech Tip: Printing and Scanning

One thing everyone wants to do sooner or later is print a document. Often people will find that they do not have the right print queue on their computer and will call for assistance. For those times when it isn’t convenient to call, we have Adding A Network Printer quick steps in Tech Tips. Recently we also were able to add the steps to Add a New Print Server to a MAC.

Note: if you want to print to any of the shared printers in Buildings 5 and 8, you will select Brighton-PrintReleaseStations and then you can use your ID to login to any of the shared printers to release your print.

Did you know that you can also walk up and use any of the shared printers to scan a document and send the scan to your MCC email?  You can find a shared printer/scanner near the elevator on floors 2 through 5 in Building 5, and on floors 2 through 6 in Building 8. Simply tap the square on the printer panel with your MCC ID, and select "Scan" (Pick my Personal Account) from the display panel. Scans can only be sent to your own MCC email. Copying can also be done by selecting "Access Device" (Pick my Personal Account), then copy.

Have a question?  Call Employee Technical Support at (585) 292-8324 (TECH), option 3, Monday thru Friday, 8:45am to 4:45pm.
