You don’t have to dig deep to reach the conclusion that pediatric nursing is a truly special vocation. Pediatric nurses combine the powerful work of nursing with a particular ability to connect with children. We are hoping you will bring your warmth and skill to a well-established pediatric outpatient office that has provided pediatric care to the Westside of Rochester for generations.
In this role, you will support the providers of the practice by rooming patients for well- and sick-child visits; discuss symptoms and take medical histories; take vitals, heights and weights; provide initial care; administer prescribed medication and give immunizations. There may be a small number of administrative duties including processing prescription refill requests, completing medical records forms and releases for school, and obtaining prior authorizations.
Most of the RNs work 4 days/week, averaging 37-38 hours/week, Monday through Friday, with 1 Saturday morning shift per month. Your hourly rate is based on years of nursing experience, $30-39/hour. Health, dental and vision insurance are all offered, with a significant employer contribution. There is also PTO, vacation, sick and holiday pay, a life insurance policy, and a 401k with an employer match.
