Tomorrow is Entrepreneurship Day!

The Downtown Campus (High Falls A & B) is the place to be tomorrow, November 2 as MCC celebrates entrepreneurs in Rochester and the Finger Lakes region. Entrepreneurship Day runs from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public; walk-ins are welcomed. The event reinforces how MCC is a place where successful entrepreneurs can get their start.

Entrepreneurship Day offers a community resource expo, networking opportunities, sessions on ways to turn ideas into businesses, resource and funding panel sessions, and presentations from successful entrepreneurs.

Attendees will also hear from MCC alumni and students who successfully pitched new businesses at Scholars' Day, including Francine Burks, Oushawndra Chavers, Patricia Drumright, Wayne Howard, and Mary McCormack. At tomorrow's event, these five aspiring entrepreneurs will find out if they will receive venture funding to start or grow their businesses. Up to $50,000 in venture funding will be awarded thanks to the Everyday Entrepreneur Venture Fund, supporters of the MCC Foundation. A panel of Rochester business leaders helped determine the awards. Please join us in congratulating these students for their outstanding efforts during the past year.

Entrepreneurship Day is part of the Launch Your Business! initiative, made possible with support from the Everyday Entrepreneur Venture Fund, the MCC Foundation, the Economic & Workforce Development Center/MCC Corporate College, and the School of Business and Entrepreneurial Studies.

See you there!
