Who should schedule a room for me on the Brighton or Downtown campus?
Campus Events and Registration & Records are here to help clarify room scheduling on the Brighton and Downtown campus. As of the start of the fall 2024 semester, all room requests for both the Brighton and Downtown campuses now come directly to Registration & Records or Campus Events.
For ease of meeting your academic and non-academic needs, please refer to the list below on how to proceed that notes who to reach out to for your space needs:
What the R&R Office schedules (academically-related - all reservations should be related to a course/CRN):
- Classes listed on the master schedule
- Requests to use a classroom for make-up exams, tutoring, review sessions or other academic pursuits (no food involved)
- Requests to use a computer lab for a class outside of the assigned room
- Requests to use a classroom for a class outside of the assigned room or a guest speaker (no food involved)
- Requests for a large room for testing
- Requests to combine two classes for a special speaker or movie showing (no food involved)
Note: Please submit a request through Ad Astra using the Academic Classroom Request Form.
The Campus Events office manages ALL other requests:
- Campus Speakers
- All campus meetings
- Study Halls
- Club Meetings
- Any class get together that involves food
- Any get together that requires parking permits or signage
- PARS, SOARS, IPARS
- Student Registration Days/Open House
- Anything considered non-academic (Rentals)
- Theater and Athletic spaces outside of scheduled class use
- Department Meetings
- Student requests to use classroom space
Please visit the MCC Faculty and Staff Reservations webpage for information about the Campus Event reservation process.
