Campus Hazing Transparency Report 2025
The Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA) is a piece of legislation that became law in December 2024 that requires, among other things, that institutions develop and distribute a Campus Hazing Transparency Report (CHTR, or "Report") and report hazing statistics in the Annual Security Report as required by the Clery Act.
Monroe Community College Hazing Policy & Procedure
Monroe Community College’s policy regarding hazing was adopted and published on July 1, 2025.
Reporting Process
Monroe Community College encourages the reporting of incidents of hazing and takes each report seriously. It will investigate all reports diligently and thoroughly, in accordance with the Monroe Community College Student Code of Conduct. Any person may report an incident of hazing by contacting Public Safety at (585) 292-2911, by submitting a Behavioral Incident Report, or anonymously by calling the Tip Line at (585) 292-3636 or utilizing the Silent Witness form.
Campus Hazing Transparency Report
Per the SCHA, Monroe Community College will compile and publish relevant and pertinent information regarding each incident of hazing for which a recognized student organization was found responsible. Beginning July 1, 2025, this information will be collected and subsequently published (and updated) twice a year in December and July.
As of December 23, 2025, no student organizations have been found in violation of the college’s hazing policy since tracking began on July 1, 2025.
