The 10-credit Teaching Assistant: Level II microcredential is designed to provide practical knowledge and skills of those who wish to work as a certified Teaching Assistant. This program satisfies the required academic component to reach NYS Teaching Assistant Level II certification. It provides a basic knowledge of the role of a teaching assistant and of a teacher, child physical and psychological development, and a working knowledge of how to support diverse student populations. It is not necessary to already be a teaching assistant to begin this microcredential.
