2+2 with Nazareth University

Please note that some courses required in a Transfer Pathway may not be required for the MCC program. This could have financial aid implications. Students should meet with their advisor or with a transfer representative to discuss an academic plan and recommended sequence of courses.
All incoming
transfer students to Nazareth with an Associate Degree are exempt from
their general education/core requirements.
Directions:
1. Choose one concentration/major in a content area: Biology, Chemistry,
English, History, OR Mathematics
2. Use your MCC Degree Works worksheet and the courses listed below to
choose courses to take at MCC.
Recommended Courses for Specific Majors/Concentrations:
BIOLOGY
| BIO
155, 156; CHE 151, 152; MTH 175 or 210; one course from: BIO 230 or 260
or 265.
Also recommended: Additional courses from: BIO 209/230/260/265;
CHE 251, 252 or PHY 154, 155 or PHY 161, 261; MTH 160.

CHEMISTRY
| CHE
151, 152, 251, 252; MTH 210 , 211, 212.
Also recommended: PHY 154, 155 or PHY 161, 261.

ENGLISH
| Maximum
of five courses. ENG 201; 220/223; two courses from: ENG 203, 204, 210,
215, 216, 217, 230.

HISTORY
| At
least four courses and no more than six from the following: HIS 111, 112
and other courses from: HIS 113 or 114, 219, 240.
Also recommended: Per Nazareth History department; no more than two courses
from the following areas: ECO; POS.

MATHEMATICS
| MTH
210, 211, a minimum of one additional MTH course from: MTH 212, 220, 225;
PHY 154 & 155 or PHY 161 & 261. Do not take MTH 160 or 161, take
MAT 304 at Nazareth. MTH 175 should be taken in preparation for math sequence
if necessary, it will transfer but not meet math major requirement.

4. Meet with Nazareth
Transfer Admissions
staff to plan your transfer. Apply to Nazareth the semester before you
complete your degree at MCC.
Notes:
AP,
IB, CLEP, transfer courses, MCC College Now or other Dual Enrollment credits:
Credits showing as accepted by MCC may not be transferable. See: Nazareth
Transfer Policies.
Contact Nazareth with questions.
A grade of C or higher required in all courses by Nazareth University.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required for acceptance to Nazareth.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher is required for MCC graduation.
Keep
copies of your work from the courses you take at MCC. We suggest that you
archive them in google.docs or dropbox so you won't have to worry about
losing them. At the end of your core work at Nazareth you will be required
to integrate your learning experience based on a question that interests
you in the Core Curriculum Milestone Experience.
