Temporary handicap parking permits (valid for 2 to 4 weeks) can be issued by the Parking Services Office, allowing time to apply for a permanent permit through your local state, county, town, or village office.

Accessible Parking Regulations

Wheelchair-Accessible Spaces

  • Reserved for individuals operating wheelchair vans with either a "C" permit issued by MCC Parking Services or a valid NYS/local government-issued permit.
    • Three (3) spaces are designated specifically for wheelchair access—one each in Lots A, K, and F.

Unmarked Accessible Spaces

  • Available for individuals with NYS/local government-issued permits or a temporary permit from MCC Parking Services.
    • Spaces are located in Lots A, J, K, E, F, G, M, Q, S, T, and the Visitor Lot.

Proper Display of Handicap Permits

  • Permits must be clearly visible, either on the windshield, sun visor, or hanging from the rearview mirror.
  • All vehicles must be registered with Parking Services or display a valid visitor parking permit.

Important Reminders

  • Handicap parking spaces have been updated to meet federal accessibility standards.
  • If a lot is full, please proceed to another accessible area.
  • Do not park in visitor-only spots, employee lots, fire lanes, or striped areas between handicap spaces.

Violators will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.

If your health improves and you no longer require accessible parking, please notify the Parking Services Office. Also, remember to keep your records current with Health & Wellness.

Parking in accessible spaces is a privilege—please use it responsibly.
