Student Parking FAQs

Transportation Fee

A $75 Transportation fee is automatically included in your tuition bill. This is for all students enrolled in at least one on-campus class during the Fall and Spring semesters. This fee, applied by the Registration and Records department, is mandatory and covers all parking, regardless of whether the student plans to drive to campus.

The Transportation fee also covers the MCC Universal Pass (U-Pass). Eligible full- and part-time students automatically receive the MCC U-Pass. No activation required, simply swipe your MCC Student ID to ride any RTS Connect route bus fare-free. Ride any route, anytime, anywhere, fare-free with your MCC Student ID!

The MCC U-Pass does not include RTS On Demand.

Fall and Spring semesters: If a student is taking at least one on-campus class, a transportation fee is automatically added to the student’s tuition bill at the time of registration for classes.

Summer and Intersession semesters: A parking request must be submitted to Student Accounts.

How Do I Register my Vehicle?

Commuter Students: A commuter student is a student who does not reside on campus, but parks a vehicle on campus. All commuter students are required to register their vehicles using the Parking Registration online form.

Residence Hall Students: A resident student is a student who resides on campus in the Residence Halls. Residence Hall students are required to obtain a parking permit if they have a vehicle on campus. Your permit can be picked up at Parking Services, Building 21, Room 140. Please do not use the link to register for parking! Please have the following information available when you arrive:

  • Your M#
  • Vehicle color, make, model, and year
  • License Plate number

Do Audit Students have to Register and Pay for Parking?

Audit students are required to email Student Accounts (studentaccounts@monroecc.edu) to pay the parking fee. Please include your M# and date of birth in the email. The appropriate fee will be charged for the semester.

Where are Students Permitted to Park?

Parking lots C, D, E, F, G, H, H1, J, M, M1, and Q are all designated student parking lots on the Brighton Campus, and are labeled with a red star on the Brighton Campus map. After 5:00pm, lots A and K on the Brighton Campus are also available for student parking.

Resident Student Lots

Parking lots R, S, and T are designated for resident students only. Between the hours of midnight and 6:00am, all resident students must be parked in one of these three lots. Anyone parked outside of those lots will be subject to ticketing.
