Here are the steps to apply to MCC as an international student:
- If you are applying for admission to multiple colleges/universities in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, you can fill out and submit the SUNY application. There is a $50 application fee for the SUNY application. You will be prompted to select Monroe Community College within the SUNY application from a list of campuses. If you are applying only to Monroe Community College, please fill out and submit the MCC application. There is no application fee. Please submit an application by June 1 for fall admission or November 15 for spring admission to allow sufficient time for the F-1 visa process.

After you are accepted and have submitted all necessary financial documents, you will receive your Form I-20 from MCC by email with further instructions for next steps. You will also receive instructions for setting up your student network account. This account will allow you to use on-campus computers and access the myMCC Portal where you can view your student records, register for classes, and access a variety of MCC online services. This account must be activated prior to your advisement & registration.
Note: You must activate your network account before you can apply for on-campus housing.
You’ll need to pay the SEVIS I901 Fee, apply for your student visa, schedule a visa interview, book travel and complete other tasks before you enter and study in the United States.
Welcome to MCC! Rochester is served by the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC), AMTRAK trains and several inter-city bus companies. When you arrive in Rochester you’ll need to arrange for your own transportation to your residence hall or apartment. Taxis are available at the airport and train and bus stations. There are also rideshare services (such as Uber and Lyft) available around Rochester.
