Prior to mass production techniques, a single craftsman was responsible for the quality of a product. Today's mass production methods, while offering significant economic advantages, can blur responsibility for product quality and continued reliability. Monroe Community College's Quality Control Program addresses this problem. It provides a technician-level approach to the quality and reliability techniques that have been developed to deal with these issues. The curriculum includes considerable laboratory experience and the theory necessary for developing quality control systems and statistical analysis of product reliability.
