Employment in retail trade is expected to account for 22 percent of the total job growth in the United States by the year 2005. Opportunities for employment and career advancement have made this occupation a dynamic and fast growing area. In Monroe County, retailers are constantly looking for individuals with fresh viewpoints and new approaches. MCC graduates in retail business management are prepared to meet the challenges and employment opportunities in the fields of sales, fashion merchandising, department management, and customer service.



The associate degree in retail business management is a two-year cooperative work-study program. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to be successful in any area of the retailing field, including fashion buying, merchandising, and retail sales.
