Essential Discussions: Conversations at MCC

**SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to illness, Freeman Hrabowski will not be presenting at STEM: Preparing Our Nation's Future Innovators. He hopes to reschedule for a later visit.
MCC is excited to present the Essential Discussions colloquium STEM: Preparing Our Nation's Future Innovators, an in-depth look at science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education and career pathways. Nationally recognized experts will discuss STEM's importance to our economy and the innovative education-industry partnerships that help meet the growing demand for STEM graduates.
The colloquium is Monday, March 18, 2013, 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., at MCC's Brighton Campus. It is free and open to educators, community and business leaders, and future innovators.
Freeman A. Hrabowski, III, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, will open the colloquium with a compelling presentation on the STEM education pipeline, followed by leaders from higher education, industry, and the National Science Foundation. I hope you can join us!
