Teachers must submit their transcripts, and proof of additional certification requirements such as Content Specialty Test (CST) results, to NYSED directly to apply for these certifications. Prospective students are encouraged to reach out to the NYSED Office of Teaching Initiatives or their Regional Certification Office for more information on certification pathways and the application process.

NYSED requires a grade of C or higher in subject area classes in order for them to count towards certification.
