Announcing Scholars' Day 2026 - Save the Date

Scholars' Day at MCC has a long tradition of showcasing our student and faculty academic work. This event celebrates academic excellence while promoting and encouraging scholarship throughout the College. It features a conference of student and faculty presentations, posters, performances, and a keynote address. Student presentations are judged by faculty, staff, and administrators, and scholarships are awarded in a variety of categories. Scholars' Day 2026 will be held on Tuesday, April 28 on the Brighton Campus.

Additionally, on Wednesday, April 29 the Scholars' Day Celebration of Learning will be held in the LeRoy V. Good Library from 3 to 4:30 PM.

Scholars' Day application forms are available now. The application deadline is March 2, 2026. Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to submit an application to deliver an oral or poster presentation based on scholarship in or outside the classroom, or a performance with scholarly commentary.

Students: Are you working on an assignment or class project now or are planning one for the spring that would be perfect for Scholars' Day?  If so, you will need a faculty sponsor who will work with you to provide guidance, so talk to your professors now about sponsorship or let us know if you need help finding a sponsor.  See our FAQ for details.

We hope to see everyone at Scholars' Day in the spring!
