Peer Navigators and Resident Assistants are among the most impactful student employment positions offered here at MCC. These students ensure that our communities on-campus and in the residence halls are welcoming, vibrant, safe, and supportive.
Position Requirements:
- At least one completed semester of coursework at Monroe Community College by time of hire.
- An earned G.P.A. of at least 2.5 by time of hire.
- Good student conduct standing.
- Matriculated at MCC and registered full time.
- Academic course load limited to between 12 and 18 credit hours each semester.
- International students need work permissions with their student visa and a valid social security number at time of hire. For questions about international hiring processes, please visit the Global Education & International Services office.
- Additional employment must be approved by supervisor; Peer Navigator/RA position is highest priority as it provides housing.
- Peer Navigators/ RAs involved in other on-campus leadership roles must obtain permission from their supervisor.
Pay and Benefits:
Remuneration for these positions is in the form of a $800 semester stipend (distributed in bi-weekly checks) and a full, single room waiver ($4300+ value per semester). Peer Navigators/RAs also receive valuable training and leadership experience to carry without through professional career.
