Registration Open for MCC Foundation's 20th Annual Walk/Run for Scholarships

The Monroe Community College Foundation is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 20th Annual Walk/Run for Scholarships, taking place on Saturday, October 3. MCC faculty, staff, students, alumni, retirees, friends, and community supporters are invited to participate in this longstanding MCC tradition that helps provide scholarship support for students.

For two decades, this signature community event has brought together the MCC and greater Rochester communities to promote educational opportunity while raising funds for scholarships. More than 300 participants are expected to join us for a day of fitness, fun, and philanthropy.

The event will feature a variety of activities for participants and their families, including:

·         A Zumba warm-up led by Maribel Torres ‘98

·         Walk or run the certified 5K course

·         A fun Fall Fest to enjoy with the whole family

·         Scholarship drawing and awards ceremony

·         A delicious lunch

$5,000 in scholarships to current MCC student participants will be awarded during the post-race scholarship drawing.

Participants can register as individuals or create and join teams. Whether honoring or remembering someone special, competing with colleagues in a friendly departmental fundraising challenge, or simply enjoying a day with family and friends, everyone is encouraged to get involved in support of MCC students.
