Battle of the National Parks

Please share with students:

It has been the battle of the national parks all semester long in GEO 200: Geology of the National Parks! After learning about each park, students in the class voted on which park they would prefer to visit, organized in conferences by the primary geologic forces that shape each national park. You can see the journey and more at the MCC Geology Instagram page

We are currently down to two parks, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, HI, which has been very active recently (video of Enormous Lava Fountain Erupts At Kilauea) and Canyonlands National Park, UT (learn more about Canyonlands National Park).

Which would you rather visit?? Vote for your favorite park! Voting will close prior to the class's final exam, December 15.

Curious about additional geology courses we teach at MCC? Learn more here: Geology department website.
