Last Call to Register for the Oct. 1 Diversity Conference!

The registration deadline is 4:00 p.m. today for MCC's annual Diversity Conference—Transformative Conversations: Forging a Path to an Inclusive Campus Culture—on Friday, October 1, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This online conference will invite you to more closely examine what makes a campus culture truly inclusive and to explore how to operationalize a commitment to equity and racial justice to better serve students.

MCC President Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna (she/her) will address issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion affecting higher education and share her vision for the college.

In a series of workshops, equity coaches from New York University’s Center for Strategic Solutions will focus on ways to expand awareness of the existing inequities in our racial climate, including the impact of unconscious bias, and commit to dismantling injustice. They will also lead us through honest reflection and discovery in developing a critical consciousness to disrupt stereotyping and misconception.
