MCC's Downtown Campus, Eastman Business Park within NYS Orange Warning Zones

Dear Student,

To stop the spread of COVID-19, NYS Orange Warning Zone restrictions are now in effect at MCC's Downtown Campus and Eastman Business Park (skilled trades apprenticeship-related programs).

If you take classes/labs or use services such as the Learning Commons at the Downtown Campus or Eastman Business Park:

  • do not go to those locations on Monday, Nov. 30.
  • plan to learn remotely until you test negative for COVID-19.
  • participate in pooled testing sessions on Tuesday, Dec. 1 or Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the Brighton Campus.

MCC's Applied Technologies Center, Brighton Campus, Public Safety Training Facility, and our welding program at Rochester Arc + Flame Center are located within Yellow Precautionary Zones. Online, remote and limited in-person classes will continue as scheduled at those locations. You may return to the ATC, Brighton Campus and PSTF on Monday, Nov. 30 and then must participate in pooled testing on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mandatory COVID-19 Testing

  • If you live on campus or plan to come to campus for any reason Nov. 30-Dec. 22, you must participate in pooled testing sessions 9:00 a.m-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 or Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the Brighton Campus. (No appointment necessary; instructions).
  • You also have the option of being tested at another provider (e.g., NYS drive-through testing site) and submitting test results to studentrights@monroecc.edu.
  • If you do not receive a call within 36 hours of being tested, your results are negative; only those who test positive are called.

Updates will be posted on MCC's Return to Campus web pages. Send your questions to covid19response@monroecc.edu.

Thank you for your cooperation and for staying safe.
