New Health-related Certificate and Certification: Resume Builders to add to a Degree Info. Session
Wednesday, April 21st, 3-4 pm
Virtual (Zoom link below)
Be among the first to hear about MCC’s new Certificate program in Care Coordination/Community
Health. Through this program—just one of two in New York
state—you’ll learn to take a leading role in educating patients and
connecting them to essential health care and support. Care Coordinators work
with doctors, nurses, physical therapists, mental health counselors, and other
health care professionals. They are essential to helping patients improve
quality of life, reduce disease and minimize hospitalizations.
Also, learn about MCC’s Health and Wellness Coach Certification that
prepares students in the specific skills needed to effectively partner with
patients or clients seeking self-efficacy and behavioral change outcomes. The
curriculum is focused on developing a client-centered guiding communication
style purposed on promoting health, wellness, and overall well-being.
We will discuss the benefits of these options, as well as the employment
outlook with one of these credentials. You can earn one, or both, of
these credentials through coursework at MCC – and you can complete either
while also working towards an associate’s degree.
This session is for current and prospective MCC students, as well as faculty
and staff, looking to learn more about these great options in the field of
health and wellness!
