COVID-19 Pooled (Saliva) Testing: Tuesday and Wednesday This Week

This week, mandatory pooled (saliva) testing sessions will be held 2:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2 and 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3 in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A/B) on the Brighton Campus. Weekly testing is mandatory for students and employees who come to the Applied Technologies Center, Brighton Campus, and Downtown Campus for any reason. No appointment necessary. *

  • Please complete your COVID-19 self-assessment prior to coming to campus.
  • If you are participating in pooled testing for the first time, please register on the SUNY Upstate Medical University website and follow these simple preparation steps (e.g., don’t brush your teeth or use mouthwash within 3 hours of taking your test).
  • Going forward, pooled testing sessions will be held 2:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesdays each week until further notice.

You will only be notified if your saliva sample is part of a positive pool; we do not notify students who test negative.

To date, MCC completed 6,077 COVID-19 pooled tests; 24 total cases were identified among students and employees through pooled testing, resulting in a 0.39% positivity rate.

MCC adheres to federal, state and county guidelines and requires mask wearing, social distancing, hand washing, respiratory etiquette and daily health self-assessments on campus. Visit the MCC Updates & Resources web pages for the latest updates.

You can also stay informed by checking the SUNY COVID-19 Case Tracker.
