There are a variety of situations or events which could cause the cancellation of classes or closing of the college all together. College administrators take into consideration a number of factors when determining the best course of action to take. Information regarding road conditions, weather forecasts, and condition of the campus buildings and grounds all play a role in the decision making process.
Having said this, conditions throughout MCC's service area vary widely and we encourage students and employees to make their own individual decisions based on conditions where they are. Real-time travel information may be found on the New York State Department of Transportation's "511NY" website.
If a decision is made to close the college, information will be posted on MCC's website and local media outlets will be notified.
