Student Life & Leadership

Welcome

The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development provides structured and unstructured activities and programs that enhance the quality of campus life. We are a hands-on place for learning experiences, which enrich students' educational objectives and life skills.

As the communication vehicle for the co-curricular needs of the students, staff of The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development addresses concerns, develops programs, disseminates information, advises, and sets policy, all of which create opportunities for greater student involvement at Monroe Community College. Many of the programs and activities of MCC's co-curricular program are supported by the student life fee through the Monroe Community College Association, Inc.

LEAD Program

The primary purpose of the MCC LEAD program is to foster student learning and personal development. With the creation of powerful learning environments, students are offered experiential learning opportunities that will allow them to apply knowledge obtained in the classroom, develop leadership skills and reflect on their learning experiences and desired outcomes. Through collaborative learning that is fused with activities, students are able to continuously improve themselves in response to evaluation and feedback. The Leadership Institute provides the curriculum for learning, and co-curricular programs provide the venue for educationally purposeful experiences.
