FPT 116 - Fire Service Hazardous Materials and Emergency Response II

This course is a continuation of FPT 115. It covers more advanced topics in toxicological, chemical, and physical principles related to hazardous materials, hazard recognition, scene management, personal protective equipment, and decontamination. It also provides an introduction to diking and diversion of spills. It is the second of two modules of PST 145. Students successfully completing FPT 115 and FPT 116 meet the requirements of PST 146. Twenty-one instructional hours.
