MCC'S ENGLISH PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE IS THE FIRST STEP TOWARD AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE
MCC's ESOL classes are taught by expert faculty in the ESOL Program. Depending on your skill level when you begin the program, you'll take four to six ESOL courses, plus several other introductory courses in your areas of interest.
The English Language Proficiency Certificate is a stackable credential, which means that if you choose to pursue a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies Associate’s Degree at MCC, the certificate classes will count towards your degree. More importantly, the certificate has flexibility in course selection, so the courses you take for the certificate will also count as pre-requisites or requirements for many other degree programs. Our students often transition to health fields, human services, business programs, engineering and more.
