* VERY IMPORTANT: 60 credits of "SJF approved" Liberal Arts coursework
are required to transfer in at true junior status. Make sure to choose
what SJF approves as liberal arts courses for your electives. Liberal Arts
qualification can be verified by viewing the SJF
Transfer Course Equivalency Database.
Good choices include: English, social sciences, math, natural sciences,
foreign languages, philosophy, as well as SPC courses.

Application to Begin the Clinical (Junior) Year:
Students must first apply to the University and, upon acceptance, will
be directed to apply to the Wegmans School of Nursing for admission to
the junior clinical year. Priority review of completed nursing applications
begins April 1 (for both Fall and Spring admission). Applicants enrolled
in the Competitive Transfer Pathway program (as indicated by their MCC
major) must have all documentation submitted no later than April 1 if applying
to begin the program in the Fall; Spring applicants should have all documents
submitted before
December. All other applicants will be reviewed on a space available and
review of completed applications will continue for both the fall and spring
semesters as capacity allows.
• Students formally accepted into the Competitive Transfer Pathway as
indicated by their MCC major must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point
average of 2.75 for admission to the clinical portion of the program.
• Grade of C or higher required in each of the seven nursing prerequisite
courses listed above in BOLD and at least a cumulative prerequisite GPA
of 2.4. All attempts are calculated in the pre-req GPA.
• Ethics, (PHL 103 or 250), with a grade of C or higher, must be completed
prior to beginning the program.
• Cumulative GPA is calculated using all undergraduate college
level course work.
• Score 84% or higher on the SJFU Math Assessment Level A exam is required
(two attempts allowed).
There are significantly more transfer spots available for the Spring
semester.

While every effort is made to ensure accurate information, students are
strongly advised to verify course transferability with the four-year institution
as they will make the final determination of transfer credit. |
