As of Fall 2023, all incoming transfer students to Nazareth with an Associate Degree are exempt from the core requirements.
The courses listed below for the Naz core can still be taken, however, the main priority is obtaining a degree before transferring and completing courses needed for your major. Updated 2/22/2023

When choices are offered, choose courses that fulfill both Nazareth Core Curriculum and MCC degree requirements when possible. Use the Nazareth/MCC Core Curriculum and Nazareth Transfer Credit Database to cross-reference courses. Students need to take a course in: History, Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Science with a laboratory, Social Science, Visual and Performing Arts. (One must be completed at Nazareth University).

AP, IB, CLEP, Dual Enrollment, & Transfer courses: Credits showing as accepted by MCC may not be transferable. Contact Nazareth to determine if those credits are transferable.

Keep copies of your work from the courses you take at MCC. Archive them in Google.docs or Dropbox so you won't lose them. At the end of your core work at Nazareth, you will be required to integrate your learning experience based on a question that interests you in the Core Curriculum Milestone Experience.

+ Cross registration for CSD courses will require the Nazareth Chair approval. Approved students will need to complete theRAC Inter-Institutional Undergraduate Student Enrollment Form. You must be registered for 12 credit hours or more at MCC to be eligible for cross registration at Nazareth.

Two courses of a 200 level are required for the MCC Liberal Arts (LA04) degree and must be met for graduation.

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher advised for acceptance at Nazareth University.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher is required for MCC graduation.

The Liberal Arts A.S. (LA04) will be the degree student is audited against and awarded from MCC.
