Student should choose one major and complete all required courses as listed.
BIOLOGY REQUIRED: BIO 155, 156; 230 and BIO 265 or 266; CHE 151, 152, 251, 252; MTH 161.

RECOMMENDED
: A Physics Sequence: PHY 145 & 146 or PHY 161 & 261. (the physics sequence can also be completed at Fredonia)

Optional: If desired, select one of the following electives for transfer to the major as upper level credit:
BIO 209, 221, 260.  Students must also maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and in the major to be admitted into the senior
SCED 419 Adolescence Science Methods and EDU 430 Student Teaching (Capstone experience) in the Secondary School.  
CHEMISTRY REQUIRED: CHE 151, 152, 251, 252; MTH 210, 211; PHY 161 & 261.
EARTH SCIENCE REQUIRED: CHE 151, 152; GEO 101, 102; MTH 200 or MTH 210. Choose one sequence: PHY 145 & 146 or PHY 161 & 261. (the physics sequence can also be completed at Fredonia)

RECOMMENDED:
GEO 105,106; MTH 160 or 161.
B.S. Earth Science Adolescence Education students must attain a minimum grade of C in all Geosciences courses, and attain a 3.0 GPA or higher to graduate.
ENGLISH Literature/Identities: Choose one: ENG 210, 216, 217, 226
World Literature: ENG 208
Literary History I: ENG 201 and 203
Literary History II: ENG 225
Students can transfer 6 additional credits of English electives towards the major. Note: ENG 101 will not count towards the major.
Students must earn a minimum of a C+ in all English courses and a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
MATHEMATICS REQUIRED: MTH 210, 211, 212, 220 with 'B', 230.

RECOMMENDED:
PHY 161 or CHE 151.
PHYSICS REQUIRED: CHE 151, 152; MTH 210, 211, 212; PHY 161, 261, 262.

RECOMMENDED:
MTH 225; CSC 101.
SOCIAL STUDIES REQUIRED:  HIS 109, 111, 112, and 113 or 114. Choose one: HIS 153 or 154. Choose one: HIS 102, 103, or 104.

RECOMMENDED:
The following all satisfy the social science foundations major requirements: ANT 101; ECO 112; EDU 125; GEG 218; POS 102; SOC 101.  Students need a C+ in all major related courses. Social Studies Adolescence Education majors must maintain a 3.0 GPA in order to remain in the program. The grade point requirements for entering the professional year are: overall GPA of 3.0, in Professional Education courses 3.0, and in the Social Studies content component 3.0.
