2+2 with Roberts Wesleyan University
B.S. Nursing (LA48 - Competitive)
MCC Degree Awarded:
Liberal Arts & Science-General Studies A.S. (LA04)
Please note that some courses required in a Transfer Pathway may not be required for the MCC program. This could have financial aid implications. Students should meet with their advisor or with a transfer representative to discuss an academic plan and recommended sequence of courses.
The Liberal Arts and Sciences
degree (LA04) provides flexibility to tailor coursework for a smooth transfer.
This guide includes the Roberts Nursing program prerequisites and courses
for the Roberts "core" (their general education requirements)
while also graduating from MCC. Specific courses are advised.
This 2+2 requires students to take a course at Roberts while attending
MCC (called Cross Registration); this is needed to transfer in at junior
standing.
Required for students accepted into this Competitive 2+2 (as indicated
by the MCC major):
- Matriculated, continuous,
full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours each semester)
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA
or higher
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA
or higher in prerequisite science classes (A&P I; A&P II, Microbiology,
Org&BioChem) required for acceptance into Roberts Nursing program
- 3.0 GPA required for
NRSG 2500 and BIO 217
Read additional Roberts Wesleyan University specific notes at bottom of
page.
*Students should cross
register for NRSG 2500 in the Spring of their sophomore year. If students
do not take this course, they will be at Roberts for at least 2 1/2 years.
Students may enroll at Roberts in the summer for NRSG 2500, however, cross
registration rules do not apply in the summer (i.e. students will need
to pay for the course). This course is not offered in the Fall.
For Cross Registration: See the RAC
Inter-Institutional Enrollment Form
for guidelines on how to register. Upon completion of Roberts Wesleyan
courses, submit official Roberts Wesleyan transcript to MCC Admissions
for ELE 900 transfer credit.
