of 3.0 or higher is advised for acceptance into SUNY Geneseo.
GPA of 2.0

"Seamless Transfer" is available to MCC students with associate
degrees in Associate of Arts or Associate of Science programs prior to
starting at Geneseo. Students who have achieved an Associates of Applied
Science do not qualify. Students without an AA or AS associate degree must
complete SUNY Geneseo local general education requirements in order to
graduate from Geneseo, including Basic Communication (i.e. “writing seminar”),
a Quantitative/Reasoning course and laboratory science.
All SUNY general education courses will transfer to Geneseo if the student
earns a grade of C- or better. Students receiving grades of D in general
education courses may not transfer in credit but will satisfy the relevant
SUNY general education categories.
