MTH 162 Statistics for the Social Sciences

ONE of the following requirements must be met:
- MCC’s MTH 211 Calculus II with a grade of C or higher
- College course equivalent to MTH 211 with a grade of C or higher (Note that not all Calculus II courses are the same. Check with the Mathematics Department that the course you have taken is actually equivalent to MTH 211.)
- AP Calculus BC Exam score of 4 or higher
MTH 220 Discrete Mathematics
ONE of the following requirements must be met:
- MCC’s MTH 210 Calculus I with a grade of C or higher
- College course equivalent to MTH 210 with a grade of C or higher (Note that not all Calculus I courses are the same. Check with the Mathematics Department that the course you have taken is actually equivalent to MTH 210.)
- Calculus AP Exam score of 4 or higher
- Calculus CLEP exam score of 50 or higher in the last 4 years
MTH 225 Differential Equations
ONE of the following requirements must be met:
- MCC’s MTH 211 Calculus II with a grade of C or higher
- College course equivalent to MTH 211 with a grade of C or higher (Note that not all Calculus II courses are the same. Check with the Mathematics Department that the course you have taken is actually equivalent to MTH 211.)
- AP Calculus BC Exam score of 4 or higher
MTH 230 Linear Algebra
ONE of the following requirements must be met:
- MTH 212 Calculus III or higher with a grade of C or higher
- College course equivalent to MTH 212 with a grade of C or higher
- Both MTH 211 Calculus II and MTH 220 Discrete Mathematics, or equivalent college courses, both with grades of C or higher. (Note that not all Calculus and Discrete Mathematics courses are the same. Check with the Mathematics Department that the course(s) you have taken are actually equivalent to the MCC courses listed.)
MTH 260 Probability and Statistics I
ONE of the following requirements must be met:
- MTH 212 Calculus III or higher with a grade of C or higher
- College course equivalent to MTH 212 with a grade of C or higher
- Both MTH 211 Calculus II and MTH 220 Discrete Mathematics, or equivalent college courses, both with grades of C or higher. (Note that not all Calculus and Discrete Mathematics courses are the same. Check with the Mathematics Department that the course(s) you have taken are actually equivalent to the MCC courses listed.)
