Student Technology Resources for Fall 2021
Get the support and help you need to be a successful student at MCC whether
you come to campus in person or virtually. Here are some helpful resources for
the beginning of the semester:

The MCC Tech Guide is a good
place to start if you have technical questions. This is a resource guide with
answers to common technology on campus. You may find the answers you need by
starting right here.

The Student Technology Help Desk can assist with your
questions related to login, account management, and access
to myMCC/Blackboard. They can also assist with questions about other
college technologies. Call 292-TECH (8324) or email for technologyhelp@student.monroecc.edu. You can also drop into
the library for in person support.

MCC Libraries – The library is open! Visit them
in person on the Brighton or Downtown Campus or online. Librarians provide
support with research help, locating resources, and more!

SUNY Online
Help Desk – If you have questions about using Blackboard, they
can help. The SUNY Online help desk has evening and weekend
hours. Call 1-844-673-6786.

MCC Online Learning Student Orientation –
located in the student tab, technology help
sub-tab in myMCC. In this orientation you can learn key
skills to be a successful online learner or you can just go through the one
section to learn how to use Blackboard.

Virtual Campus Office -Our online concierge can help connect
you to campus resources. Email questions to virtualcampus@monroecc.edu or call 292-3440 if you
have specific questions related to online learning. Visit our MCC Online

Zoom web conferencing system requirements and
help-Zoom Help Center- videos and step-by-step instructions

requirements (you can participate in Zoom meetings via the App on
your phone or through a computer. Visit Best Practices for Using

Respondus Lockdown Browser: If your
instructor uses Respondus for a test, you must first use this
link to download the Lockdown browser.

uses Blackboard Learn 9.1. Use the help
pages to find answers to commonly asked questions.
Help with Computer Basics:
If you are brand new to using a computer, check out some of these basic
computer skills tutorials. You may also consider taking one of the many CRC courses on
campus!
