MCC’s Honors Institute: a special new program that brings together academically talented and highly motivated students.
Our program's emphasis on personal connection and community within the larger college affords students the opportunity to develop a personal mentor relationship with an Honors faculty member (potentially as early as the final semester of their senior year of high school) that will last until they complete their degree at MCC. This is characteristic of the highest quality liberal arts colleges -- a level of attention that prominent national universities seldom afford their undergraduates.
We offer:
- Exceptional course-based study
- Unique curriculum and off-campus events such as:
- film festivals,
- trips to Women's Rights Hall of Fame, Rochester Museum and Science Center and other travel opportunities, and
- history and art tours of the City of Rochester
- Collaborative learning
- Service projects that build upon work done in honors classes
- A variety of knowledge-tracks to choose from
