The Health & Physical Education Department offers a wide variety of courses that includes both skill development and fitness/wellness content. Students can utilize these courses to fulfill the two-credit-hour graduation requirement for Physical/Health Education.
These courses are offered throughout the day and evening in Building #10 at the Brighton Campus and throughout the day and Saturday afternoons at the Damon City Campus. Multiple sections of each course are on the master schedule for the scheduling convenience of the student.
These courses include:
- Personal Fitness PE 101 - lecture based with some lab components.
- Fitness Theory and Practice - cognitive plus exercise
- Racquetball & golf
- Fitness for Women
- Stress Management
- Team sports - volleybal & basketball
- Skiing at Bristol
- Aquatic certifications
- Personal Defense
- Tae Kwon Do
- Tai chi
- Walking class
