Jeff Barnes, deputy chief information officer at Queens College, oversees institutional strategy for an IT staff charged with optimizing mission-critical technical infrastructure resources and services. He is a leader with a proven history of leveraging project management, communication and technical strengths to drive innovation and efficiency. As CIO, he also provides lifecycle project management oversight to implement information technology systems that meet the college's strategic goals.

Shirley Dugdale, principal, Dugdale Strategy LLC, is a space strategy consultant who specializes in learning environments. The focus of her work is on strategic approaches that use space design to help leverage institutional change. She explores facilities that have had a transformative impact and is interested in developing research on the relationship between space planning and improved learning outcomes. She has worked for 20 years on academic facilities, from visioning and programming to master planning.

Markus Erndl, PMP, director, project management office, Queens College, is a creative thinker, problem solver and technical professional with specialties in higher education environments, educational/instructional technologies, strategic planning and portfolio/project management. Responsible for improving the success of projects managed by the Office of Converging Technologies, he achieved a 12 percent improvement rate in the success of PMO management projects.

Bert Gamory, chair of the engineering science and physics department at MCC, recently completed his first term as department chair.  Before coming to MCC, he worked at Rochester Institute of Technology coordinating programs in support of RIT students and Rochester high school students interested in technical careers.  Additionally, he held various positions including adjunct instructor at MCC and Genesee Community College, tutor, program coordinator, and project director for the Liberty Partnerships program.

Melaine C. Kenyon, director of instructional technology at Buffalo State College, provides overall leadership in operations and coordinates activities of all units in the Instructional Resources Department. This includes classroom technology support, instructional design, the college's learning management system, video production, photography, graphic design and television engineering services. Kenyon provides strategic leadership for the development and integration of instructional technologies in classrooms and other learning spaces. She is directly involved in the planning/design of classroom media technologies for academic environments under renovation.

Joan K. Lippincott is the associate executive director of the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), a joint program of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and EDUCAUSE. Joan is a widely published author and frequent conference speaker. She is chair of the ACRL New Publications committee and is on the boards of portal, The Reference Librarian, and the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD). She has served on the Advisory Boards of the Horizon Report, the EDUCAUSE ELI Seeking Evidence of Impact project, the Journal of Learning Spaces, and the Academic Commons. Prior to joining CNI, Joan was a librarian at Cornell, Georgetown, George Washington University, and the College at Brockport. She received her Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Maryland, an M.L.S. from SUNY Geneseo, and an A.B. from Vassar College.

Mark McBride, MCC's new director of Library Services, most recently served as coordinator of library instruction at SUNY Buffalo State where he administered a robust library instruction program. McBride has teaching experience at both Alfred University and SUNY Buffalo State.  His presentations are numerous and he has been published in the Journal of Educational Technology Systems and the Association of College and Research Libraries to list a few.   He has been awarded several grants and is a member of the American Library Association (ALA), the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and the New York State Library Association (NYLA).

Jean A. Stark, principal, JMZ Architects and Planners, P.C., is a skilled architect who excels in academic programming and planning. She has crafted program studies and master plans that artfully weave together creative, strategic ideas with meticulous attention to detail. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and has championed sustainable design strategies since joining JMZ in 1995.

Lisa Stephens, senior strategist for academic innovation in the State University of New York (SUNY) Office of the Provost, is a member of the Academic Technology and Instructional Support team. She is responsible for the Innovative Instruction Technology Grant program designed to leverage technology in service of pedagogy as part of the Chancellor’s Open SUNY strategic plan. She is also the interim lead for the Open SUNY Coursera initiative and the FLEXspace (Flexible Learning Environments eXchange) open education repository project. Lisa is a member and past-chair of the SUNY Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching & Technology.

Mark Walters, Category Product Manager for Steelcase Education Solutions, is responsible for the product development and marketing of Steelcase products for secondary and higher education learning environments. Mark uses his diverse background to lead teams in creating product solutions that support improved student engagement wherever learning happens. Mark’s experience includes 9 years in product development for Steelcase and Turnstone (a Steelcase Company), 2 years as a Turnstone Business Development Manager for the Central U.S., and 4 years as a Workplace Consultant servicing the design and architecture community in San Francisco, California. He has a Masters degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
