Recycling

It is the policy of Monroe Community College to follow Monroe County law for institutional recycling. MCC also participates in Monroe County's Paper Caper process of co-mingling the capture of and recycling of fiber based materials, rather than separating office paper and cardboard.

Additionally, the College also capture and processes many other recyclables through various departments: Facilities, student groups, Safety and Hazard Prevention, and food service (Aramark). Some of these include: grease from frying/cooking, tires and automotive batteries, motor oil, general and rechargeable batteries, and ink cartridges and electronics.
