Electrical and Computer Engineering - B.S. (EN37)

College Web Site: http://www.rochester.edu

MCC Degree Awarded:

Engineering Science A.S. (EN01)

Please note that some courses required in a Transfer Pathway may not be required for the MCC program. This could have financial aid implications. Students should meet with their advisor or with a transfer representative to discuss an academic plan and recommended sequence of courses.
Transfer Guide

Students interested in this Competitive Transfer Pathway must complete an MCC program change request and meet specific entrance requirements to be formally accepted.

For those accepted
(as indicated by their MCC major): Continuous, full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours each semester) is required. Enrollment and following the guide will increase the likelihood of acceptance. Student contact information will be shared with the 4-year institution. Students will complete the Intent to Enroll Form the semester before they intend to transfer.

If not accepted
, students can still follow this guide and apply to UR using the Common Application.

All students are encouraged to meet with transfer staff at MCC and at the transfer institution.

Note the following:

  • College Now or other Dual Enrollment courses: College coursework taught in high school will NOT be granted transfer credit at UR. See UR transfer credit policies.
  • AP, IB, CLEP, & Transfer courses: Credits showing as accepted by MCC may not be transferable. See AP Policies and IB Policies. Contact UR with questions.
  • The general transfer credit policy requires a C or better for credit to be awarded. All chemistry courses must be completed with a grade of B or higher for UR. ENG 200 must be a B or better to fulfill Rochester's writing requirement.
  • The MCC code EN02 is the base program for EN01 students. Students following Biomedical, Chemical, or Computer & Electrical engineering will need course substitutions applied to EN02 at time of registration in order to meet financial aid and graduation requirements. Students should consult with the Engineering department and their Success Coach.
  • Students may want to take courses in the summer or an additional semester at MCC due to the rigor of coursework needed.
  • Read additional UR specific notes at the bottom of this page.
