Transfer Guide
The Liberal Arts
and Sciences degree (LA04) provides flexibility to tailor coursework for
a smooth transfer. The goal is to obtain your A.S. degree while taking
SUNY General Education and foundation courses for your major at the 4-year
degree institution.
Students repeating courses will have their grade point average recalculated
by RIT to include these courses in their overall GPA. The final admissions
decision will be made by RIT.
This program starts in the Fall semester only. Students should apply to
RIT by February 1 of the year they plan to start at RIT. Read all notes
on the bottom of this page for RIT specific information.
Note that this is a highly competitive program with very limited seats
for transfer students. RIT also offers certificate programs in Diagnostic
Medical Sonography (Ultrasound)
and Echocardiography
(Cardiac Ultrasound).
These may be good options to explore.
