Students can follow this guide for the Childhood Inclusive Education - Multidisciplinary Track or the Early Childhood Inclusive Education major at SUNY Brockport.

As of Fall 2023, any student who transfers to SUNY Brockport with an earned Associate’s degree (AS, AAS, or AA) or earned Bachelor’s degree will have ALL general education requirements completed (this includes SUNY and Brockport local requirements). Brockport accepts up to 75 credits from community colleges.

All program requirement courses require a grade of C or higher.

Notes:
Students need 4 math courses and 4 science courses for the Brockport degree. The following can be taken at MCC:
  • Math: MTH 155, 156, 165, 160
  • Sciences: BIO 133; BIO 116; GEO 109; SCI 131 OR 132.
  • Students will need all of these courses. Whatever not taken at MCC will need to be taken at Brockport.

AP, IB, CLEP, transfer courses, MCC College Now or other Dual Enrollment credits: Credits showing as accepted at MCC may not be transferable. See
SUNY Brockport Equivalencies. Contact Brockport with questions.

Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is advised for acceptance to SUNY Brockport.

For the Brockport Education program, transfer students must meet at least one of the following admissions criteria:

High School GPA of a B or better OR
High School Rank in top 30% OR
SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + Math) ≥ 1140 OR
ACT ≥ 24 OR
Transfer GPA ≥ 3.0 based on at least 12 credits OR
Brockport GPA ≥ 3.0 based on at least 12 credits.

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required for MCC graduation.


Education Studies: Childhood A.S. (EC03) will be the degree student is audited against and awarded from MCC.
