2+2 Transfer Pathway Guides

2+3 with Rochester Institute of Technology

B.S. Computer Engineering, B.S. Electrical Engineering, B.S. Industrial Engineering, B.S. Mechanical Engineering, B.S. Microelectronic Engineering (EN35 - Competitive)

MCC Degree Awarded:

Engineering Science A.S. (EN01)

Please note that some courses required in a 2+2 Transfer Pathway may not be required for the MCC program. This could have financial aid implications. Students should meet with their advisor or with a transfer representative to discuss an academic plan and recommended sequence of courses.
2023-2024
2+2SheetMajor Listing Sheet

Choose Engineering major from list below. Note the following:

A grade of C or better is needed for credit to be awarded by RIT.

A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for acceptance to RIT for those accepted into the 2+3; Mechanical requires a minimum 3.25 GPA. Students not formally accepted into the 2+3 (as indicated by MCC major) may need a higher GPA. Students repeating courses more than once will have their grade point average recalculated by RIT to include these courses in their overall GPA. Numerous repeat of courses and/or low GPA may result in removal of student from the 2+3 agreement by MCC or RIT.

Matriculated, continuous, full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours each semester) is required for students formally accepted into this Competitive 2+3 (as indicated by the MCC major).

AP, IB, CLEP, transfer credit, MCC College Now or other Dual Enrollment courses: Credits showing as accepted by MCC may not be transferable. See
Transfer and Test Credit. Contact RIT with questions.

Refer to RIT Course Equivalencies.

The Engineering Science A.S. (EN01) will be the degree student is audited against and awarded from MCC.
Documentation Source: 2023-2024 Advisement and Transfer Services.  Updated 7/31/2023

While every effort is made to ensure accurate information, students are strongly advised to verify course transferability with the four-year institution as they will make the final determination of transfer credit.
